Creating an awesome graveyard scene for Halloween with lighting pretty much always means you need to use strings of decorative lights, strobe lights, black lights, special effects, electrically powered decorations; the list goes on! When properly set up and installed, light bulbs will add some ghastly ambience to your haunt.
Whether you make your yard, garage, house or all three of them into bastions of ghoulish delight, you will be adding an assortment of lights. Rope lights, orange and black lights (compact fluorescent light bulbs are best for these), and all manner of other lighting can be utilized for the best Halloween scene in town! You must implement the lighting correctly, however; I've seen Halloween scenes ruined by poor lighting, while at the same time I have also seen some incredible setups with correct lighting.
A graveyard scene is a perfect example. Imagine you've created a small graveyard in your front yard using a dozen quality tombstones, a couple fake ravens and some wickedly carved pumpkins. If you under-light the graveyard it will not be very visible and have little or no impact on your visitors. Conversely, if you over-light the area you can ruin the effect by making it too stark and obvious.
Whatever your choice may be for Halloween scenes, the right lighting will be your best friend. Compact fluorescent light bulbs and LED light bulbs are great ideas with their varied color temperatures and low energy usage. They come in dimmable styles as well so you can customize the lighting to be as appropriate as possible for your particular Halloween scene. You can save money this year by using energy efficient light bulbs instead of old inefficient incandescent light bulbs.
