We have been with LightBulbs.com since the beginning of 2013 at which time we had approximately 357 stores. Prior to that we had tried multiple large online suppliers for lighting needs.

We have since grown to over 1,000 stores and LightBulbs.com has not skipped a beat in growing with us. It is amazing how our sales rep tailors the service to each individual locations needs. LightBulbs.com determines our exact needs by location and provide the most cost effective means of meeting those needs each and every time. Not only do they treat our money like it was their own spend, they are quick and accurate.

I have been through many RFPs throughout 27 trades and LightBulbs.com cannot be beat in terms of service, cost and efficiency.

Warehouse Lighting: Important Things to Consider

Replacing HID or fluorescent with LED lighting is the right move. Here are some things to discuss when working with your warehouse lighting specialist:
  • Glare - Often not considered until it is too late, and can be a workplace safety issue along with general workplace comfort. The more light you have coming from a single, directional source the higher the chance of uncomfortable glare.
  • Warranty - Industry standard is five years but you can find up to ten years. The warranty is only as good as your distributor and brand, the more established they are, the better the odds of them being around in the years to come.
  • Flicker - Ever see a slow motion sports clip where the lights are flicking ? That’s from a low quality LED driver. You can test any LED with your smart phone, take a slow-motion video and you will be able to see the flicker. This is not usually detectable by the human eye, but can cause headaches and can interfere with barcode scanners.
  • Controls - Adding motion and daylight harvesting controls can quickly add up your efficiency. Are you lighting areas that are frequently empty? Have large windows or skylights? Want to monitor and control lights remotely? Adding these features can make your investment pay off much sooner.
