Indoor High / Low Bay LED Light Fixtures Customer Reviews

What are LED High/Low Bay Fixtures?

LED high/low bay fixtures are powerful light sources that are designed to illuminate a large area from a higher location. They are amazing fixtures with the perfect lens angles to provide an evenly distributed light that reaches into every corner of the room. High bay fixtures are defined by the height of the ceiling they can be installed at, which is typically around 17’ to 60’. Low bay fixtures can be used with lower ceilings in open areas that are between 12’ to 20’. Both types have a high lumen output with LED technology that provides energy savings without sacrificing the amount of light needed.

We offer several types of LED bay fixtures and if you need help choosing the right one, be sure to contact us at 800-948-1063 and one of our lighting consultants will be glad to help!

Where are LED High/Low Bays Used?

As stated above, LED high bay fixtures are primarily used for spaces with high ceilings that range from 17’ to 60’ high. Because of this feature, they are very common in large retail stores and are used in almost all warehouse applications. They can be seen in gymnasiums, hangers, and storage facilities as well. These fixtures usually produce a higher light output and can easily replace all sizes of HIDs at a fraction of the cost.

LED low bays are used for low ceiling applications that range from 20’ and under. These fixtures are often seen in small warehouses, workshops, and retail applications. Sometimes they can even be found in homes in spaces where extra light is required. Most of our low bays are offered with a diffused lens to help with any glare from the lower application.

Types of LED High/Low Bays

There are several types and styles of LED high and low bays to choose from and with our wide selection, you can be sure of finding what you are looking for! Make sure to check out our accessories that are specifically made to enhance bay light fixtures.

Rectangular / Linear

Linear LED high/low bays are rectangular fixtures that have common sizes like 2’ x 2’, 2’ x 4’ and 1’ x 4’. Their size is perfect for more narrow spaces and the design is much easier for mounting occupancy sensors. The low glare beam distribution is a great feature to have for protection against eye strain. The typically sleek design looks professional as well as functional and can, therefore, be seen in many retail and commercial applications.

We also offer lamp ready high/low bay fixtures that are not sold with the light bulbs leaving the option up to you. There are several LED and fluorescent bulbs to choose from, so you can be sure of finding the perfect light source for your fixture.

Round / UFO

Though the name sounds odd, the description of LED UFO high/low bay fixtures is actually fairly simple. They are a disc-shaped luminaire system that is designed to optimize the beam distribution without needing a reflector. Unlike their metal halide and HID counterparts, these fixtures are compactly made and the LED technology makes them cost-efficient. They can be used in many locations such as indoor recreational facilities, warehouses, schools, grocery stores and much more.

Retrofit

If you are looking for a LED option for your lighting needs but don’t want to replace the entire existing fixture, then retrofitting might be the right avenue for you. Like other high/low bay fixtures, they are designed to replace HID light bulbs, but these don’t require a brand new fixture for installation.

Retrofit LED high/low bays can come with either an E26 or EX39 base and can be screwed in like a standard bulb. They also come in a linear form that can be installed into the existing space as well. These fixtures are perfect for all household and commercial applications where extra light and cost savings are needed.

Controls

We also offer several kinds of LED high/low bay controls such as occupancy, daylight and motion sensors. Many of them can be remotely programmed which is perfect for setting up your sensor after installation. There are also a few kinds of replacement cords and reflectors that can also enhance your fixture.

Mounting

There are a few different ways of mounting that can be done for LED high/low bays and with our mounting hardware selection, you can find the way that is right for you. If you choose to hang your fixture there are a few different sized aircraft cables to choose from as well as single point hanging kits. If surface mounting is more what you’re looking for there are many kinds of kits that will come with all the hardware you need.
