Your parking lot is a prime area for LED upgrades with long hours and high repair costs. Don't let "easy" screw-in solutions fool you as they may cost more in the long run and sacrifice light quality for a temporary fix.
Installation
Think about it, old fixture = old crispy wires, an old socket that's not designed for the weight of an LED bulb, and reflectors that were designed for a 2 inch long H.I.D. envelope (the little glass tube inside the HID that actually produces the light). It's ripe with potential issues and misses on the potential up-side of LED. Installing a new fixture is often faster than retrofitting plus the amount of light and coverage on the ground is far superior to a screw-in LED retrofit.
When adding new fixtures we can also easily include controls and monitoring so you have activity and power consumption reports.
Security
Don't jeopardize your employee's safety or your security systems with the wrong LED. Underlit parking lots can lead to lawsuits, undesirable traffic, and poor security camera results. With a new fixture, we can also assist in including motion detection or custom controls. This gives you the ability to dim certain areas of your lot (frequently utilized with auto dealerships) to save on energy while keeping the important areas at full output. Motion detectors can add another layer of security and energy savings. When vacant, the lights dim to a preset level and upon motion, the lights jump to full output.
