Our house is old and not all rooms are wired with a light switch. I had to replace two of the light fixtures with a pull cord switch. (Hard to find) These were exactly what I needed and are well made. I can even replace the pull cord mechanism. (also available on this site)

I happened on this light fixture via amazon.com after searching high and low for a flush-mount, pull-chain light fixture. We are delightfully surprised at the quality of the fixture and the amount of light it gives to our kitchen basement. It's very difficult to find a pull-chain light fixture these days and this one was a perfect choice!

Not so many options for a chain pull fixture that looks nice. This one fills the bill.

This fixture was just what I was searching for when I was redoing a small half bath to replace a pull chain fixture installed in 1936. The brushed nickle finish complemented the new faucets and the ribbed frosted glass globe gives the final touch.

Easy to install. I just didn't like the screws that held the glass in place. I used the screws from the old light fixture. Looks good and works well in my pantry.

I bought 4 of these, for 3 bedroom closets and 1 coat closet. The Brushed nickel finish is attractive and goes with the bedroom ceiling fans that I recently installed. These fixtures take two bulbs, so lackluster lighting won't be a problem, and the glass crystal is fairly low which makes the fixture fairly compact up against the ceiling when you must install a ceiling mount and don't have cans. These fixtures have pull chain switches which is needed if there are no wall switches for your closet lights.
One slight downside is the thin metal at the mounting surface where the screw heads go into their slots. The metal seemed to bend easily so I chose to install fender washers onto the screws first, to distrinute the load over a bigger area. This then complicates installation as you have to hold the fixture up against the ceiling while inserting the screws through the fixture and into the box ears. But, you don't mount them every day. Once they're installed, you're done. Overall, I'm happy with these fixtures. They do what I need them to do.
