My parents moved to the US from Europe and brought along several chandeliers and lamps with the wider European candelabra bulb screw diameter. This item did the trick of allowing these lighting fixtures to be used in the US with US candelabra bulbs. Just screw the item onto the bulb base, and then screw the bulb onto the lighting. I recommend ordering a few more than you need, as some of these adapters might get lost over time in case someone throws them away while they are still attached to a bulb being replaced.

I bought some light fixtures from an old European cruise liner and these adapters enabled me to use standard candelabra bulbs. Worked perfect and seem well made.

Had a lamp from Germany and wanted to use it in the states. This product does exactly what I need: convert the standard German E14 base to the smaller US E12 Candelabra base. With a 220v to 110v outlet converter so it fits the US outlet, my lamp works great. It is of very strong material and I had no problems with the installation.
