Vickerman Prelit Artificial Christmas Garland (495438)

I have a High End Noble Fir Tree (PE and PVC) I purchased a few years ago and my existing mantle garland was looking a bit shabby in comparison. After doing a lot of research this garland seemed that it would match my tree. I loved that it was 9' and a combo of PE and PVC. While I wish it had more PE branches, it would likely be a bit prohibitive if it was, as this is a well made and heavy garland. I used to be able to hold my garland up onto the mantle with the feet of a very heavy antique clock. Not so with this...I felt it would scratch the paint on my mantle and over-mantle, so I devised a great plan. I have crown molding and picture rail molding that wrap around the entire room and fireplace. I used my heaviest picture hooks and picture hanging cord to attach and swag the garland over the mantle. The gold roping is attractive, but the decorated garland is so pretty that you don't really focus on what is holding it into place. I was able to add my star garland and special glass ornaments without fear of it falling down. I will use this solution every year. I love this garland....just wish it was a little less expensive.
