Vickerman Christmas Light String Set with Timer (29838)

This order was filled and delivered very promptly. The lights are delightful. We put them up on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving and turned them on. It is now December 19th and they are still running great on their first set of batteries - 6 hours per day. We used them on the wreath on our door, two sprays in the front of the house, and on two other decorations. Very glad we purchased them.

This is the only Vickerman model of lights I have purchased. I usually purchase the Gerson LED micro miniature lights, and this one is honestly almost indistinguishable from those.

The colors are very nice - red, blue, yellow, and green, all very bright.

There is a 1' piece of wire separating the battery pack and the start of the LEDs. Mine does not have the bulge I see in the product picture currently. The remaining 8' of wire has the LEDs spread an even 4" apart.

Like Gerson's series of lights, these stand out from most battery operated LED light strings because the LEDs are flat on the surface of the wire, they do not stick out like many other brands. This makes them very easy to use to outline objects. I use them a lot for decorating my bike - it is easy to arrange it so the LEDs hug the frame or the edge of the bike wheel and outline the shape.

I haven't let them run long enough to comment on the timer.
