These 24.5 watt 4100K LED tubes replaced my old T8 fluorescent tubes. I chose to completely replace the ballasts and wire these to my existing fixtures to be cheaper and more eco friendly. Rewiring was extremely easy and a matter of just cutting a few wires and twisting some wire nuts. These are double ended tubes FYI. Compared to the fluorescent lights, these are at least 25% brighter and my garage looks amazing. Since they’re not 5000k color, it doesn’t feel cold and blue like an ER, but still incredibly bright. Something to note, when you compare the lumens of a fluorescent tube and an LED tube, they may be similar. However, a fluorescent tube’s light emits 360°, including toward the ceiling which is pretty useless. LEDs emit their lumens mostly down, so they appear much brighter for the same lumen count. These have a fairly broad pattern and frosted lens so no weird shadows. Just bright, even light. Would buy again.

Replaced some old fluorescents in the garage with these - very happy with the brightness and color temperature.
