Very nice bulb. The savings from LED will show up soon. The reason besides the cost savings on power is that the standard antique bulb turns black on the inside. You notice it when off and looking thru glass at fixture. So far these have not turned black. My thought is from the heat of the bulb (40WT) makes this happen. Will update in several months of use.
