These bulbs are being used to replace halogen kitchen track lighting. These are much brighter than the bulbs they are replacing and make working in the kitchen easier than before. Color retention is excellent and no flickering when dimmed. The bulb is held in by a spring clip, takes a little effort for the clip to go in because the bulb is a hair longer than the original but just makes the bulb nice and snug. Worth the money.
