All lighting items are working as they should. No complaints! The bulbs were installed on the exterior of a building.

We have had a real problem with this bulb burning out in just a few months. In the specs it states the bulbs have 12,000 life hours. We installed the bulbs in December and are having to replace 47 of the bulbs that are burned out already. If there is a better bulb that is more dependable I would appreciate the help. This is what was suggested and placed in our new building by the contractor.

I ordered 3 replacement cfl bulbs of the Litetronics version of this product on May 4th, 2013 from LightBulbs.com for 1 fixture (of 3 fixtures) that spotlight a homeowners association waterfall. It is now July 31st, 2013 and 2 of the 3 bulbs have already burn out. When I complained to LightBulbs.com, I was told that because I used these with a mechanical timer in an outdoor fixture application that the 30 day purchase warranty, and the 1 year product limited warranty, would not be honored. It does say (in very small print) on the cfl packaging, after you receive the bulbs, not to use "in dimming circuits or in fixtures directly exposed to weather", but it does not say this on the website for the product. Note: my application does not use a dimmer. It would make sense for the website to state "NOT FOR OUTDOOR USE" in bold letters on the website when a person is contemplating ordering. I am not happy with this purchase and will not order from LightBulbs.com again.
