I received this product in good shape . I bought this to use in a UV light box I had made. When I plugged it into the G23 adapter base which was screwed into an E26 socket the bulb blew. Now this is not due to a defect in the product, it was because there was not a ballast attached . I did not know that a ballast was required to use this germicidal light bulb until I did some research. I think it would be helpful to append a note on the website of this bulb that it is non-ballasted and a ballast would be required.
