This LED replacement "bulb" seems bright enough for working under the truck hood. I did have to modify the Hubbell portable Halogen light. I modified my Hubbell light because of the thick diameter of this LED replacement light. I had to grind down both sides of the two end sockets about 1/16th of an inch and also modify the reflector a little to accommodate the size of the LED bulb. I am happy though since i can use the portable Hubbell lamp under the hood. 100 W equivalent seems to be bright enough for working under the hood.

Very bright and runs much cooler than the halogen bulb it replaced. Had it on for hours and got warm but never too hot to touch!
