This Philips 8.5 watt 4-pin base 2700K LED is a tremendous improvement over the color of the harsh white neon bulb that came with our oven hood. While the color of the Philips is not quite as warm as I'd like it (would be great if it came in 2500 or 2400K), the hood light is now usable and no longer ghastly. The one downside is that the light coming from this Philips bulb is not omnidirectional. The light comes out of one side of the bulb only. So if the lamp base is not pointed in the direction you want the light to shine, you may have a problem.
