These work well in over range microwave. Incandescent bulbs overheated and didn't last long.

Excellent bulb. It fit into the base of my microwave that hangs above the stove. It is brighter than the original and uses a fraction of the Watts! I recommend this product.

Really hard to find an intermediate base bulb that substitutes for the usual "appliance bulb" but this was just perfect. The circuit board on my microwave had developed a fault so that the on/off switch won't work. The 40W incandescent bulb was therefore useless, but replacing the board would cost $200. Now I just leave the light on all the time with a cool 3W bulb.
