Light portion can switch 40-300 watts incandescent or halogen
Controls multiple fans as long as total fan motor does not exceed 2.5 amps
Solid-state control
Will not work on a fan with a DC motor
|
Troubleshooting |
Problem: Light does not turn on/off, or flickers
Check that light pull chains are in "on" position
Make sure bulbs in use are incandescent or halogen
Ensure fan does not have a "current-limiting device" in the light kit
Problem: Fan does not come on or is stuck at low speed
Check that fan pull chains are in "on" position and set for the highest speed
Problem: Fan buzzes or hums
Make sure fan can be used with solid-state fan controls
Fully variable controls like this one can cause a fan motor to hum or buzz
Problem: Light switch controls the fan and the fan slider controls the light
Red and yellow wires are reversed
Problem: Light switch will only work if the fan slider is on, or vice-versa
| One of the load wires and the common wire are switched. Check Wiring Diagram for correct wiring
