I love these candles, safer than real ones! (I like to use candles to relax before falling asleep..) and they are scented, the 'wick' flickers like a real one. Wonderful.
I cannot figure out how to use the timer, however, instructions not included

Even from a short distance, the flame looks amazingly realistic. Timer is spot on every evening so far. I'd have a dozen in my house if they weren't so very expensive. Fortunately, I only needed one in pink for my Advent Wreath. Purple was cheaper on eBay.
