Expensive, but works well. Installed on metal roof.

A nice feature is the two position bulb mounting. This allows the bulb to point away from or at a right angle to the magnet base. As with the universal clips the Magiclip remains on the light socket when removed from the building. This is a helpful feature when the light strands are used seasonally. Even though the magnet is quite strong, we decided not to use them on our shopping center's metal roofs. The reason was due the wire gauge size of our previously purchased light strands (Not from E Light Bulbs). The wire was too big for the plastic slots in the clip. The clips were visibly stressed.

The concern was that the plastic would fail after a single season. At 50 cents each, the Magiclips were not as cost efficient as the universal clips (less than 10 cents each) that we decided to use on our metal roofs.
