The light bulbs work great. I took two 4' fixtures that my neighbor was throwing away and made an 8' light for my work bench. Total power draw is 42 watts. You should remove the existing ballast in the fixture. The bulbs come with good instructions for wiring. If the bulbs don't light up when you are done, switch directions of the bulb.
