Works as advertised. They are very bright, much brighter than typical CFLs, which we replaced ours with these LED bulbs. Keep in mind that only 1 side of the bulb illuminates; the other side is covered and does not emit light. This isn't an issue for us as our kitchen is much brighter than before. We just positioned the LED bulbs facing the direction where they will get the most usage.
