Bulbrite Incandescent Light Bulb (705140 / 40T8C)

This is just what I needed for my front outdoor light fixtures. The length is great, the wattage is perfect and nice warm look. Works great with the timer switch I have installed. Shipping was good, they arrived in good condition. Will purchase again!

I purchased these as replacements for our outdoor RH sconces. I am very happy with the bulbs...looks like the original from RH and better pricing.

The big name store where I bought our entry way exterior chandelier wanted a ridiculous amount for these replacement bulbs, and they were not certain they'd be a perfect match. When I found them at LightBulbs.com, they size was perfect, and the price was good enough that I could buy a full set so color match would be guaranteed. As it happens, these are exactly the right color anyway, so I now have some spares. I am very happy with this purchase.

This light bulb worked beautifully in my ceramic Christmas tree. Lighted up the whole tree.

I brought two Bulbrite 40w 120v Bulbs. Put one into our large Ceramic Christmas tree and it lasted only two days before it burnt out. I then put the second one into the large ceramic Christmas tree and it continues to work to this day. So I am 50% happy.

I purchased this for a 50's pendant lamp. The original bulb finally gave out. This bulb is not as bright as the original. The worst thing I noticed is that it has grown dimmer as it is used. After about a month of less than standard use, it's maybe as bright as a 20W bulb.

The description is accurate and it fits the Restoration Hardware fixtures that I think some others are using to replace those bulbs as they burn out. However, these bulbs are 1 inch shorter than that RH version and much brighter. Neither this or the RH version specify the lumens of the bulb or the color temperature, but these seem a little higher on the Kelvin scale (slightly less warm) and brighter than the RH version. I haven't found anything better, so they will have to work.

Although the bulb was received in a timely manner and worked well it burned out after about 250 hours. I was using it in a ceramic Christmas tree and it came on automatically for about 8 hours each night since I received it.
