This bulb is in a lamp with adjustable 3 way level. As my wife like it light in the room where we watch tv, which is counter intuitive, when you are in a movie theater it is dark, and I am always hot and she is always cold even when it is 80 degrees or more. Anyway this is the only bulb that I can find that throws off enough light so that she is happy. I have tried just about every other light from old incandescent, CFL's and LED's
