Whole strand lit up on the first try. 60 foot run on lower level of gazebo, 20 on upper level. Plastic mounting clips (no screws included) are the Achilles heel here... do yourself a favor and mix some soap and water in a spray bottle, and give the rope a squirt before installing with a slight twisting motion. We bought a roll of this 8 years ago, got 2 runs out of it, hopefully this will last as long, or longer
