Antique light bulb company, Ferrowatt, produced a very authentic gas flame replica light bulb with their "Ball-O-Fire".

The Ball-O-Fire bulb by Ferrowatt

FerroWatt has been manufacturering light bulbs for nearly a century, but their specialty lies in reproducing incandescent replicas of the great Thomas Alva Edison.  Many of the antique / nostalgic style bulbs show their authenticity right down to looped filaments and hand-exhausted tips.

One of their unique creations is their "Ball-O-Fire", which really has to be seen to be believed. While ideal for museums, historic preservation projects, traditional hotels or period homes / theatres, this bulb is also just dang cool.

It re-produces a gas flame effect that truly looks its best when the lights are turned off, creating an animated warm look that is stunning.

As far as specs go, this bulb is currently only available for use in a 15 watt/120 volt fixture.  It will fit into any medium base lamp post or light socket.  It measures in at 5" x 2.75".  However, it lasts MUCH longer than its historic predecessor (rated at 3,000 hours of burn time). Due to the beauty it produces, it is also one of our most pinned items on Pinterest!
