Five years ago, we bought various colors of these faceted bulbs for year-round use in light strings over our patio. We really like them. After about 4000 hours of total use, all of the white, red, green, blue, and purple bulbs are still working well, but about 50% of the yellow ones have died. Could be a factory problem 5 years ago. But overall, we're very happy with them. They use almost no electricity, only 1 watt per bulb. The colors are intense and the bulbs are medium bright. The bulbs are plastic but look like glass and none have broken.

I have ordered this bulb before and it was glass @ gave off great light . This bulb was plastic and the light it gives off is very weak. Disappointed that they have moved to plastic and are charging the same price
