When the LED on the dimmer goes out and then starts blinking release and adjust the low end trim until the bulbs become stable, If the bulb you are using flickers drops out or stops dimming when you reach a certain level you have reached the low end level of the bulb's dimming range, Problem: Bulbs or dimmer buzzes, CFLs and LEDs have electrical components inside them that can make noise when the bulbs are on. The noise is not anything to worry about but if the noise is bothersome the best solution is to try a different bulb, Problem: Dimmer is not working in a 3-way application when used with a 3-way mechanical switch, Make sure the mechanical switch has been properly rewired and the dimmer reprogrammed as per instructions 6A and 9 in the installation instructions
ApplicationsCan work with a standard mechanical switch in a 3-way application. The switch will need to be rewired as well as reprogram the dimmer (as shown by installation instructions), In a 4-way application companion dimmer model MA-R or MSC-AD must be used (mechanical switches will not work), In a 4-way application 2 wires will be connected to the blue screw terminal. These will be the wires that are tied to the blue screws on the other two dimmers, In order to dim from multiple locations you will need 1 MACL-153M and 1 companion dimmer (MA-R or MSC-AD), Dimmer does not require a neutral connection
