Each year, people all around the world show their support for those living with autism by displaying blue lights on their homes and businesses. Become part of the movement and Light It Up Blue this April!

For over 50 years, the Autism Society has worked to support all individuals living with autism, as well as ensuring that the rest of us accept and include those with autism so we can all appreciate the unique qualities possessed by us all. April is National Autism Awareness Month, and the event represents a great opportunity to promote autism awareness and draw attention to the thousands of families who face autism diagnoses each year.

Light It Up Blue

One of the most visible ways people around the country (and the world!) are drawing awareness to autism is by “lighting it up blue” to represent the official color of the autism awareness movement. Iconic landmarks around the world, including the Empire State Building in New York City, Willis Tower in Chicago, the CN Tower in Toronto, and even the Great Pyramids of Giza, as well as countless bridges, airports, museums, hospitals, stores and more have lit up in blue to draw attention to Autism Spectrum Disorder.
