I have a kitchen fixture that requires 7 of these bulbs and I got tired of constantly changing out the halogens plus with them running very hot. These bulbs have been great so far. They are very bright, use less energy and run cooler. Only downside is the extremely high price and they do hum. Hopefully the life I get from them will justify the high price. Time will tell.

I ordered these for track lighting in my 1970's modern house. They make a terrible humming sound. I also hate that they are entirely plastic! I wish I could find another manufacturer that makes these bulbs in glass and metal without the sound!
