Great product. As it turns out, the only half-silver bulb that works properly, in any type of parabolic reflector fixture is an incandescent bulb. LED half-silver bulbs have not yet been able to achieve the same level of smooth filled-in halo (soft-edged spot) luminance as incandescent bulbs in a parabolic reflector fixture. I look forward to a time when LEDs are there. But they are not there yet.

I buy at least half a dozen of these bulbs at a time, since they are not available locally and shipping one bulb would not be efficient. Sure, incandescent bulbs burn out faster than LEDs. But no manufacturer has yet managed to make a half-silver bulb with proper filament placement to produce the soft directed spot of an incandescent bulb in a parabolic reflector. Straight LED filaments just don't cut it.

These bulbs have a very good life-span for incandescent. But even if they burned out at a much faster rate than they do, I would still buy them, because… nothing else works.

These incandescent half-silver bulb uses the filament placement that made parabolic reflector fixtures popular, in the first place. Unfortunately, few manufacturers continue to make these bulbs and few retailers offer them for sale. Thank you to LightBulbs.com, for always having the bulbs that I require.

I have tried several brands of these types of bulbs. These are dependable and long-lasting and emit gorgeous light.

Love these light bulbs. Unfortunately, one burned-out within 2 days.

Love these light bulbs above my kitchen island. No glare, but plenty of light!
